In 2008, on 6th April, in the Theatre Hall of Jaworzno MCKiS and the day after, on 7th April in the Theatre Hall of Szczakowa Culture House, an important event took place. We had a chance to listen to the first ever concert of our city orchestra ‘Archetti’. The performance was called ‘Archetti – The Debut. In Memoriam Of John Paul II’. It turned out that the interest in the event was overwhelming even for its organizers. The Hall was completely full on the first day and on the second one as well. The audience was honored to listen to the finest repertoire:

W. A. Mozart – Serenade in G Major ‘Eine Kleine Nachtmusik’

H. M. Górecki – Three works in the old-fashioned style

M. Karłowicz – Romance and Waltz from Serenade for the String Orchestra

The great applause, received by musicians at the end of the concert, was the best possible award for every single orchestra member.
